The Metropolitan Museum of Art is open Tuesday through Thursday and on Sunday from 9:30 am to 5:15 pm and Friday through Saturday from 9:30 am to 9 pm. You’ll need to pay for admission.

Whitney Museum of American Art

Founded in 1931, the Whitney Museum of American Art houses one of the greatest collections of 20th -century American art. The museum’s permanent collection includes about 12,000 works of art.
You may visit the museum Wednesday through Thursday from 11 am to 6 pm, on Friday from 1 to 9 pm and Saturday through Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm. Children under 12 are admitted for free.

Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum

Located on the Upper East Side, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum is the only New York building designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The Guggenheim was originally called "The Museum of Non-Objective Painting", and it was created to showcase abstract painting. Besides the avant-garde art, the museum also presents an extraordinary collection of late 19th and early 20th centuries. On lower Broadway, you’ll find an amazing art center, the Guggenheim Museum SoHo.
You may visit the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum Saturday through Wednesday from 10 am to 5:45 pm and on Friday from 10 am to 7:45 pm.

Jewish Museum

The Jewish Museum was founded in 1904, when Judge Mayer Sulzberger offered 16 ceremonial art objects to the Jewish Theological Seminary. Frieda Schiff Warburg donated the elegant building that houses the museum in 1944. The structure was renovated in 1993. The gallery space was doubled and an auditorium, a permanent exhibition and a café were added.
This amazing art museum presents and explores the secrets of Jewish culture. More than 28,000 archeological artifacts, painting, sculpture, broadcast media, ceremonial objects and photographs all trace the evolution of the Jewish culture.
The Jewish Museum is open on Thursday from 11 am to 8 pm, on Friday from 11 am to 3 pm and Sunday through Wednesday from 11 am to 5:45 pm. Children under 12 are admitted for free.

American Museum of Natural History

The American Museum of Natural History presents you the world as you’ve never seen it before, from its birth to the present.
The museum offers you several temporary exhibits and 42 permanent exhibits covering astronomy, anthropology, zoology, ecology and geology. The South American, Asian and African exhibits or the dinosaurs’ replicas will surely impress you.
The Rose Center for Earth and Space seems to have been created in the future. A glass cube presenting the history of our planet from the Big Bang to nowadays.
Many exhibits were created especially for children, so if you are in New York on a family vacation, the American Museum of Natural History is a must see.

Brooklyn Bridge
Opened in May 1883, the Brooklyn Bridge, also called the "Great East River Bridge", offers both residents and visitors a splendid view of New York. On the opening day, 150,300 people and 1800 vehicles crossed the bridge. To cross the Brooklyn Bridge, people paid 1 cent and vehicles 5 cents. In September 1983, the first passenger train crossed the bridge. The last train crossed it in 1948.
Nowadays, approximately 150,000 vehicles cross the bridge on a usual weekday. The bridge’s 273-foot towers represent real works of art we invite you to admire. Four enormous cables support the bridge.
